🌟 Getting Started With Your Portfolio Website Template
Hey there! So excited to hand over your brand-new portfolio template — this site is made to help you showcase your work, your skills, and your personality, all in one place.
To make it yours, follow the steps below.
If you’re just getting started in marketing — whether you're a social media manager, content creator, or digital marketing intern — having a strong online portfolio is a game-changer. It tells potential clients or employers: “Yes, I’ve got experience. Here’s the proof.”
But I know building a website from scratch can feel overwhelming — especially when you're juggling client work, uni, job applications, or freelance gigs.
That’s why I created a free portfolio website template (built on Wix!) designed specifically for marketing creatives who are just getting started.
🧩 What’s Included in the Template?
This isn’t just a blank canvas — it’s a fully structured site with built-in pages and a content manager (CMS) that lets you easily plug in your own info. You’ll find:
A Projects page for showing off your work
Testimonials and client logos (or software you use!)
A clean Services section
A place to highlight your Qualifications (think Google certs, workshops, and courses)
Easy-to-update global styles (fonts, colors, branding)
Clear calls to action and contact details
You just add your content — no need to build from scratch.
🪄 How to Set It Up (in 6 Quick Steps)
Once you request the template (more on that below!), we’ll do a 20-minute setup call together where I’ll transfer ownership of the site to you. After that, you’re good to go. Here's how to customize it:
Step 1: Fill Out the CMS
The CMS is where the magic happens. Update these collections first:
Projects – Add real or practice marketing work: social campaigns, email designs, TikTok strategies — whatever you’ve done!
Testimonials – Ask previous clients, classmates, or collaborators for short quotes.
Logos – Add brands you’ve worked with or tools you use (like Canva, Meta, Mailchimp, etc.)
Services – Describe what you offer, even if it’s just a few simple packages or hourly support.
Qualifications – Include any training, certificates, or courses — they matter!
Each section comes with example content and placeholder text to guide you.
Step 2: Customize Your Pages
Once your CMS content is set, go through each page and:
Replace all the placeholder copy with your own
Swap images for your own headshots, project screenshots, and content
Update buttons, links, and contact info
You can keep the structure or make it your own — it’s built to be flexible.
Step 3: Add Your Global Branding
In your Wix editor, head to Site Design to set:
Your brand fonts and colors
Button styles and link behavior
A logo or site icon if you have one
This applies across the whole site and gives it a unified, polished feel.
Step 4: Upgrade Your Site
To connect your own domain, remove Wix branding, and unlock full customization features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.
👉 If you choose to pay for the year upfront, I receive a small commission through Wix’s Partner Program — no cost to you, and a nice way to support my work if you’ve found the template helpful.
Step 5: Final Touches (After Upgrading)
Once you’ve upgraded, don’t forget to:
Add your favicon (the tiny browser tab icon)
Upload your logo to settings
Check your SEO settings (site title, meta description, social share image, etc.)
These are subtle details that make your site feel extra professional.
Step 6: Leave a Recommendation
If this template helped you, I’d really appreciate a quick LinkedIn recommendation — it helps me keep creating resources like this for new creatives. You can find me on LinkedIn here.
💌 How to Get the Template

I can’t wait to see what you create 💻✨
