The Solution
The Challenge
The Event Marketing industry is saturated with corporate feeling agencies who do not cater to the boutique event productions that are on the cusp of moving from the small, local run, low budget arena, to the larger scale and more professional leagues. These events tend to struggle to work efficiently with large agencies who are out of budget, but have outgrown paying a friend of a friend to manage ads. Pot Of Sauce needed to position themselves away from these huge agencies, without coming across as unprofessional.
The Solution
We created a fun, down to earth, illustration heavy branding that played on the name 'Pot Of Sauce'. Led by strong copy and brand guidelines that centred the ideal client as someone looking to 'add a bit of spice' to their marketing, and start to sell tickets reliably. We leant heavily into the playfulness with both the copy and the illustrations, relying on a sense of humour to grab our clients attention, and a great service to keep it.
I designed a logo, colour pallette and content guidelines book. Along with several custom illustrations in multiple file formats to ensure usability and flexibility with the branding. A pattern was established, alongside layout options and copy and content guidelines.
The Build
Develop a vibrant and interesting website with animations and interesting scrolls to captivate clients.
Our initial meetings resulted in detailed Pinterest boards showcasing various inspirations, styles, and visual elements. These boards served as a collaborative space for exploring ideas, with each pin selected to reflect the themes and emotions we wanted to convey. Transforming these visual collections into a cohesive creative direction pitch required thoughtful synthesis of our insights. After presenting the pitch, the founders engaged in in-depth discussions to evaluate the creative options.
They selected the direction that aligned best with their vision, propelling us into the next development phase. This decision allowed us to focus on the chosen aesthetic, refining colors, textures, and conceptual elements. During this phase, we experimented with different color palettes, considering their visual impact and psychological effects.
In addition to refining colors, we brainstormed ideas that complemented the chosen direction, ensuring each element contributed to a unified narrative. This meticulous process was essential in crafting a strong visual identity that effectively captured the brand's essence and resonated with its audience.

This was largely done across Figma (layouts and concept designs) and Adobe Fresco (illustrations). Refining was done and the final project was delivered as a shared Figma File with components, two full PDF guideline documents and a set of flexible files.
Designed on Figma and converted to a Wix Studio website, this website uses minimal code to allow my clients the ability for flexibility and future growth without the need for complex code.
The website included a contact form that collects all the necessary information and notifies the owners of the submission.
The Impact
The launch of the agency went considerably well on Linkedin. A small client quote about the website design: "You came up on my Instagram and LinkedIn a couple times this week, so naturally I had to have a stalk and omg your website is STUNNING!! I showed the rest of the team and we were all in awe! My personal favourite touch is the chilli pepper cursor! So excited to see more from you guys :)"
What Pot Of Sauce said:
"JOSIE YOU WERE GREAT!!! You completely understood our vision and delivered exactly what we were hoping for (plus more!)."
