The Challenge
I was tasked with designing a representative icon that could be used on the clapperboards whilst filming series 2 of the BBC Comedy series Juice. I was given the brief of a cartoon Juice box with dripping words. The design had to be bold and not over complicated as it would be centred in the clapperboard. It also needed to be vectorised in order to be used in other formats elsewhere.
The Solution
I put together a mood board and inspiration based on the brief I was given. I then came up with some sketches. Once the sketches were approved I moved into creating the artwork and finally sent over the files and mockups.
The Build
I illustrated in Adobe Fresco and created mockups in Photoshop. After multiple feedback rounds we settled on the below design.
The Impact
This illustration was used throughout the shoot and the font chosen was carried through onto the rest of the clapperboard design. Below you can see images of my work in use.
